Weihnachten rückt immer näher, wir haben ja schließlich bereits November. Aber ehe die richtige Weihnachtsnäherei losgeht, musste noch ein originelles Geburtstagsgeschenk für einen wahren Naturburschen her. Was schenkt man jemanden, der gern Ski fährt, wandert, klettert und allgemein viel draußen ist und bereits einen riesigen Fundus an Klamoten für die entsprechende Sportart zu Hause hat?
Gutschein wollte ich nicht schon wieder machen, daher habe ich lange gesucht und überlegt.
Zum Glück war in der Ausgabe 13 meines gern gelesenen Patchwork Magazins "Love Patchwork and Quilting" eine tolle Anleitung für dieses "Oh Deer" Kissen drin. Das Kissen ist am Ende ca. 50 cm im Quadrat groß und beinhaltet ca. 90 kleine Quadrate im Patchwork.
Christmas is coming near and nearer, we already have november. But first some presents for a birthday of a real nature-boy. But what to give to a man, that likes skiing, trekking, climbing and everything to do outside? He really has a lot of equipment for all of these sports and I didn´t wanted to come around with a coupon again.
Luckily my favorite magazin "Love Patchwork and Quilting" had a nice pattern in Issue 13. "Oh Deer" is a pillow pattern that is really great. I love how it turned out. In the end the pillow ist about 20 " in square and about 90 tiny squares are sewn into that cute patchwork.
Ihr seht hier auf den Bildern leider nur die Hülle, ich hatte noch keine Zeit, ein passendes Kissen dazu zu kaufen, das erledige ich demnächst, denn am Wochenende muss ich das Geschenk ja übergeben.
On this pictures you see only the cover of the pilow. I need to buy a fitting pillow for it during the week until I`ll give the present to the nature-boy.
Mir gefällt das Kissen oder das Muster soooo gut, dass ich jetzt gleich noch eines in einer anderen Farbe nähen werde.
Denke in Rottönen als kleine Wanddeko zum aufhängen wäre ganz schick für Weihachten.
Ich freue mich schon. Und in der Zwischenzeit bastle ich weiter an dem Tutorial für die Blätter, das ist schwerer als ich mir vorgestellt habe, sorry, das dauert noch ein wenig.
I like the pillow or better to say the pattern - I think I`m going to sew this in an other color scheme.
I think reds would be nice for a wallhanging for christmas. Exited to start that new one.
And between the sewing times I am working on the tutorial of the leaves - I didn`t thougt that this will take so much time. Sorry, I need some more.
