Einfach bunt und Wild - das ist genau mein Motto. Ich tue mir wirklich schwer auch kleinste Reste Stoff wegzuwerfen, daher gibt es bei mir auch viel kleinteilig genähte Sachen zum Anschauen. Wie beispielsweise die Dreieckstaschen oder diese Tasche hier. Ich bin eben stoffsüchtig und ja, ich gebe es auch zu. Aber dafür kommt bei all der Sammelleidenschaft doch was schönes dabei raus. Und zur Abwechslung habe ich jetzt vor, mal wieder einen Quilt zu nähen. Nicht mit Minimuster, sondern mit großen Blöcken und dafür werde ich sogar einen lang gehüteten Schatz anschneiden: Mein Fatquarterbundel von Cotton and Steel, welches ich im Februar 2016 in Pasadena gekauft habe. Da bleiben sicher auch wieder viele tolle Stoffreste übrig *grins*.
Simply wild and colorful - thats exactly my theme. And my probem is that I can not throw small leftover pieces of fabric away and that is the reason why you see so much smal stuff over here. For example the triangle pouches or this sew together bag. I admit - I am addicted on fabric and I say this. But with all this collecting thing I can make beautiful stuff. And for the next project I want to make another big quilt. Not with small pieces with big blocks and for this quilt I am going to cut into my fat quarter bundle of Cotton and Steel I bought in february 2016 in Pasadena. I guess there will be some leftovers, too:-)
Bei dieser Sew Together Bag ging alles viel schneller als bei den beiden davor. Ich habe ja schon zwei genäht und davon eine verschenkt, diese, die dritte im Bunde, wird wieder ein Geschenk. Ganz bunte Außenseite und auch das Innenleben ist quietschbunt. Genau mein Stil, ich hoffe, der Beschenkten gefällt das auch:-) Ich habe gestern genau zwei Musik-CDs lang gebraucht um das Innenleben zusammen zu nähen. Ich werde noch zum Sew Together Bag Profi.
With this sew together bag - everything went faster than with the two others I already made. I did sewed two of them, one for a present and one for me and this one, third in a row will be a present, too. The outside of the bag is realy scrappy and colorful and even the inside of the bag is crazy colored, too. That`s just the way I work and I hope the person who gets this will like it too. I needed two cd-plays long for sewing the inside together. I am going to be a pro for sew together bags.
Ich mag diese Tasche sehr gerne, meine geht täglich mit mir zur Arbeit und beherbergt meine Hexagons für den Zug. Hier passt einfach alles rein, was Frau so beim Nähen braucht. Genial. Und die Leute schauen immer, wenn man die Tasche auspackt und öffnet. Ein wahres Raumwunder eben, so wie Hermines Handtasche bei Harry Potter :-)
I like this bag very much. The one I made for me is going to work with me each day and has al the stuff for my hexagonwork in it for the time during my trainride. Everything fits in here what a woman needs for sewing. Genious. And the people around me are alwasy looking sceptical when I start unpacking my bag. This is a real room wonder, like the bag of Hermine in HP :-)
Außerdem habe ich mich entschlossen, ein Ideen-Sammel-Glas zu machen. Ein Glas mit Zetteln drin, auf denen Sachen stehen, die ich gerne machen möchte, aber keine Zeit habe. Wenn ich dann mal Zeit habe, nehme ich mir einen Zettel und mache das nächste Projekt das darauf steht. So der Plan in der Theorie. Ich hoffe, dass ich dadurch doch das ein oder andere Projekt fertig kriege.
I decided to make myself a glas of ideas. Thats a glas with smal papers in it where I can note projects I like to do but I do not have the time now. Whe I have time, I just open that glas and start with the project on the next scrap of paper. Thats theory - we will see, how this will work in reality and if I can finish one or two projects then.
