Ok, ich gebe es offiziel zu - ich bin grade im Strickfieber. Eines Abend hatte ich nach der Arbeit mal wieder meinen Anschlusszug verpasst und dann steht man an so einem Bahnhof und fragt sich, wie schlage ich die nächsten Minuten tot. Nun ja. Die meisten größeren deutschen Bahnhöfe haben einen Zeitschriftenladen. Ich weiß ja nicht, wie es euch damit geht, aber ich finde in 90 Prozent der Fälle ein Magazin oder ein Anleitungsheft, das ich dann auch mitnehme. Inzwischen habe ich eine halbe Bibliothek mit Mützen Stricken und Häkeln Bänden, diverse DIY-Magazine undganz viele Patchwork Zeitschriften. Ab und zu findet sich auch eine Lifestyle Zeitschrift darunter, am liebsten lese ich hier die "living at home". Zurück an jenen Abend im Bahnhof, die Zeit kroch nur so vor sich hin, es war schweinekalt und es pfiff ein kalter Wind über die Bahnsteige. "Der nächste Zug hat ca. 10 Minuten Verspätung" verkündeten die Anzeigetafeln. Ich bin dann wieder in den Bahnhof gewandert und irgendwie fand ich mich in diesem Zeitschriftenladen wieder.
Ok, I officially admit - I`m a knitting addict. One evening after work I missed my train and so I stood there at the station, thinking about what I`m doing with 20 more minutes to wait for the next one. In Germany, every bigger station has a Newspaper store with lots of magazins. I do not know how ysou handle that but 90 percent of my visits in these stores end with bying a new magazin. Meanwhile I have a libary of knitting books, crocheting and DIY magazins and a lot of patchwork magazins. Sometimes there is a livestyle magazin between the rest. But back to the evening. It was cold and windy and the display panel showed 10 minutes delay for the next train to come. Back into the warm house of the station and somehow I got to the magazin store.
Nachdem ich die aktuellen Ausgaben der Patchwork Magazine schon zu Hause hatte, fiel mir die Ausgabe "Filati" von Lana Grossa in die Hände. Wenn ich mir Wolle kaufen, so ist diese meistens von Lana Grossa. Die haben so tolle Wolle, kuschelig weich und einfach grandios. Ich liebe Merino und da werde ich dann auch meist fündig. Inzwischen habe ich 4 Ausgaben von Lana Grossa Magazinen zu Hause, so viel kann ich garnicht stricken, aber ich habe sie zu Hause:-) An dieser Strickjacke bin ich hängen geblieben. Wenn ich derzeit durch die Läden schlendere finde ich zwar einige schöne Strickjacken aber meist sind diese nur aus Polyestergemischen und das mag ich überhaupt nicht. Warum nicht selbst stricken? Ich habe mich für eine wirklich Hammerkuschelige Wolle entschieden und bereits mit dem Rückenteil begonnen. Einfach toll beim stricken, wirklich super.
I already had all of the patchwork magazins at home so I found myself reading the "Filati" knitting mag by Lana Grossa whool. When i buy whool for any stuff it is mostly Lana Grossa. They have great whool, great to snuggle and so so cozy simply gorgeous. I love merino whool and so I find a lot there. Now there are four issues from Lana Grossa books at home - I can`t knit that much but I have the magazins:-) With this knitted jacket I fall in love. Most of these knitted jackets in stores are made with polyester and I do not like that much. I am going to knit it for myself - why not? I decided to take a really cozy whool and started to knit the back part. Great knitting, it is so much fun.
Doch ganz vernachlässigen kann ich meine Näherei auch nicht. In den letzen paar Tagen kam ich immer sehr spät heim. Im Zug wird gestrickt und abends auf dem Sofa etwas am "La Passion" genäht. Mein Monsternähprojekt, ich dachte ich schaffe es vielleicht in 5 Jahren, ich glaube aber das wird länger dauern:-)

But I do not neglect my sewing completly. I came home very late in the past days, so it was knitting in the train and a bit of handsewing on the couch on my "La Passion". This monster project should be done in five years I thought last year. Now I know better, this ist going to take a little bit longer:-)
