Aufi gehts - kummts ihr mit?
Wir waren in der vergangenen Woche im Wipptal in Österreich wandern. Wunderschönes naturbelassenes Tal mit mehreren versteckten Seitentälern. Also los, Wanderstiefel geschnürt und Rucksack gepackt.
Wir hatten super Glück mit dem Wetter. Wir haben die eine Woche ohne viel Regen, Nebel und Kälte erwischt. Das hieß aber leider auch früh aufstehen, denn bei 30 Grad eine Tour mit ca. 1000m Höhenunterschied nach oben und dann wieder 1000 m nach unten ist a) eine lange Tour und b) will man den Aufstieg nicht unbedingt in der größten Hitze machen. So sind wir meist gegen acht oder halb neun Uhr gestartet und waren zur großen Mittagshitze meist auf über 2000m über Null und hatten angenehme 23 Grad. Da lässt es sich herrlich wandern.

We have been on vacation in austria in Wipptal - a beautiful valley near italy. Get your shoes on and your backpack ready to go.
We really had luck with the weather. We had one week without Rain, cold or fog. But we had to get up early to start our tours. No fun to walk up a hill with 86 ° Fahrenheit. For that reason we startet arround eight or halb past eight in the morning and spend the heat time in over 2000m high with arround 73 ° Fahrenheit. Great for trekking.
Den ein oder anderen Bergsee haben wir auch getestet, ich eher nur mit der großen Fußzehe während mein Mann gleich komplett baden ging.
And yes, we tested some of the lakes. My husband jumed right in - I was more the toe in cold water, brr-cant-get-in-version.
Zwei Gipfel haben wir in dieser einen Woche gut geschafft, einmal die Röthenspitze mit 2481 m und einmal den Sattelberg mit ca. 2100 m. Einen Tag hatten wir nach der Röthenspitze als Ruhetag und den haben wir mit fiesem Muskelkater auch dringend gebraucht. Der Sattelberg am vierten Tag war dann richtig schön zum wandern.
We did two summits in this week. One time the Röthenspitze with 2481 m high and the Sattelberg with about 2100 m high. Between the two summits we had a break to relax.
Das Wipptal ist ein lohnendes Ziel für alle, die gerne einfach nur Wandern oder etwas Bergsteigen wollen, ohne dass an jeder Ecke eine Hütte steht. Viele bewirtschaftete Hütten findet man im Wipptal nicht. Man sollte sich selbst Proviant für ein kleines Bergpicknick oder eine Gipfelbrotzeit einpacken.
I recommend wipptal as a beautiful valley to trekking or hiking. There aren`t lots of lodges over there where you can make a break and have a snack but it is beautiful to walk arround there in this beautiful nature. You should take care on yourself and get yourself some provisions and water to drink.
Dafür erlebt man viel Natur, begegnet Murmeltieren, jeder Menge Kühen und anderem Getier und kann traumhafte Panoramas betrachten. Und wenn man so still und zufrieden auf dem Gipfel sitzt und einfach nur in die Ferne schaut, dann hört man meist nur das Rauschen des Windes und die ein oder andere Kuhglocke, die entfernt klingelt:-)
So und jetzt werde ich mich intensiv meiner Nähmaschine widmen. Die Wäsche ist gewaschen und verräumt und die Wanderschuhe kann ich auch morgen putzen und aufräumen:-)
Join nature, marmots, lots of cows and other animals and look at this beautiful view on top of the mountains. Sitting there on a summit, listen to nature - the only things to hear are the wind telling storys and a bell of a cow is ringing somewhere. Live it.
And now, I will go and sew with my maschine. My laundry is done and I can clean my boots tomorrow:-)
